State Convention
The state convention is a great place to meet nursing students from all across South Dakota, learn more about different areas of the nursing profession, and visit with vendors about jobs and internships.
Dear Nursing Students-
I hope everyone has considered attending the Nursing Student Association State Convention in Aberdeen, March 22nd-23rd. We are excited to have a driving simulator at convention to help promote awareness for distracted driving. Everyone attending convention will have the opportunity to try the simulator during the career fair and during breaks. The simulator is coming from the organization Sioux Empire Safety Village in Sioux Falls.
The NSASD state board decided last year that we were going to tackle “Distracted Driving” as our platform. Additionally we submitted a resolution to the National Student Nursing Association. In the resolution we discussed ways that we could help decrease distracted driving, which in return would potentially decrease the number of injuries and fatalities sustained every in accident involving distracted drivers.
